A grateful look back at how we THRIVED in 2025

The annual WeTHRIVE!℠ recognition event was held on December 8, 2025. On this special afternoon, we honored our child care providers, communities, and school districts for the amazing work they have done over the past year creating sustainable changes within Hamilton County.

As I looked back on 2025, there were a few common themes that I saw across the WeTHRIVE! teams:

Communities and schools continued to ensure that everyone had the opportunity to be active within their community. Teams completed quick-build demonstrations, worked on Safe Routes to School, and looked at opportunities to connect trails and other active transportation infrastructure.

Many teams recognized the need to bring healthy food options into their communities. Teams hosted produce pop-up events, installed Little Free Pantries, set up donation spots for food pantries, partnered with Ohio State University Extension-Hamilton County to offer nutrition education and cooking classes, created gardens, and enacted Farm to Early Care and Education strategies.

Teams continued to create new and exciting opportunities for residents to engage with each other through walking clubs, exercise classes, health and wellness fairs, environmental clean-up events, and mental health speaker series.

In the same spirit, teams have created new connections with WeTHRIVE! partners and each other, with some teams meeting jointly or planning to do so next year.
