It’s the final day of WeTHRIVE!℠ Champions Week! Today we meet Alyse Capaccio of Reading, the 2023 WeTHRIVE! Champion for Leadership and Initiative.
When the Reading WeTHRIVE! team needed a new co-navigator in 2023, Alyse immediately volunteered to jump in and fill the void. This position requires lots of coordination, planning, and promotion of events to keep things moving forward. Alyse is very skilled in all of these areas and she brings many new ideas to the table, along with her professional skills as a website and graphic designer.
Alyse’s contributions are many. In an effort to help spread the word and attract more WeTHRIVE! team members, Alyse created a website for the Reading WeTHRIVE! team (be sure to check it out at wethrivereading.org). She also designs eye-catching flyers and logos for team projects, including Walk With Purpose, the Reading Farmers Market and GrowingCommunity. Alyse worked with the city administration to design a New Resident Welcome Packet, which provides useful information about the community, as well as an introduction to the Reading WeTHRIVE! team.
Alyse is also one of the founding members of the GrowingCommunity, a garden club focused on sharing ideas and tips for home garden projects. She is part of the team that founded the City of Reading Holiday Walk and she schedules entertainment for the Reading Farmers Market.
Alyse is described as innovative. Her leadership encourages residents to live happy, healthy lifestyles and to be active, contributing members of the community, making Alyse a true WeTHRIVE! Champion.
