It’s WeTHRIVE! Champions Week! Today we meet Mimi Anderson of North College Hill, who is the 2023 WeTHRIVE!℠ Champion for Service to the Community.
Mimi is creating a better world for North College Hill. She is known as an amazing neighbor, a leader and cheerleader who is always positive and ready to share the good things going on in the city.

Mimi has been a WeTHRIVE! liaison for many years. She brought Ohio State University Extension’s family cooking classes to North College Hill and was instrumental to the city’s recycling efforts through her connection to Hamilton County ReSource. Mimi also serves on the city’s Tree Board, helps organize the Arbor Day Celebration, and runs the North College Hill Events Facebook page.
Mimi is described as a humanitarian. Every winter she puts together “Kind Flash” bags, which provide things like gloves, scarves, and snacks to the homeless population. She is also involved with Community Cycle Cincy, a non-profit organization that repairs donated bicycles and gives them away to children.
In the words of those who nominated her for this award: “Mimi has spent countless hours sharing her knowledge with the new staff and administrator in North College Hill. She has been a valuable resource to us. Her years of experience and dedication to the WeTHRIVE! initiative, and the City in general, make her one of our most valuable and appreciated volunteers. We sincerely appreciate all of her hard work and dedication to the City.”
To the city of North College Hill, Mimi Anderson is a true WeTHRIVE! Champion.
