Cheviot first became involved with WeTHRIVE!℠ in 2011, when the initiative was funded by the Communities Putting Prevention to Work grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The city joined the expanded WeTHRIVE! movement in 2017.

- Free swim lessons (40 kids) and water aerobics classes (263 participants) at the city pool (2018)
- Improvements to St. Vincent de Paul community garden at St. Martin’s church
