Sharon Lutz is Whitewater Township’s WeTHRIVE! neighborhood navigator

Sharon Lutz is Whitewater Township’s new WeTHRIVE! neighborhood navigator. She became involved with WeTHRIVE! when her brother, township trustee Willie Pope, invited her to a meeting.

As a WeTHRIVE! neighborhood navigator, Sharon will make connections and build relationships in an effort to create a healthy and safe community for all. “For more than a decade, I have been doing environmental related projects on my own and also through my business,” she said. “By becoming involved in WeTHRIVE! and now having the title as navigator, I am hopeful that this will give me the ‘edge’ to get even more accomplished.”

Sharon is looking forward to working with the Whitewater Township WeTHRIVE! team on many projects. She’s gotten off to a great start by setting up the team’s Facebook page and organizing roadside clean up days in April.

Although new to WeTHRIVE!, Sharon has been active in the community as a business owner (Green Acres Canoe Rental) for 20 years and as a fourth generation family farmer. She has been married to husband David for 33 years. They have three children, and all are involved in the family business.

Sharon said she tries to live up to the motto, “Make you the world a bit better or more beautiful because you have lived in it.” We’re impressed by what we’ve seen so far and look forward to watching her help Whitewater Township THRIVE!
