The Montgomery WeTHRIVE! team recognized the community’s mental health concerns and took action by initiating programs and partnerships. With a focus on destigmatizing mental health, the city provides resources for staff and residents, and even acquired a therapy dog. Their efforts to raise awareness include community presentations throughout the year, demonstrating a strong commitment to mental health.

Reading’s afterschool clubs bring new experiences, learning, and fun
Reading Community City Schools held 16 special afterschool clubs with the goal of fostering a positive school culture and sense of community, along with learning and fun. Clubs ranged from cooking, art, and reading to gardening, engineering, golf, and board games. Teachers and students alike were enthusiastic about the experience.
