Do you enjoy working with young people? Are you interested in empowering them to bring about change in their community? If so, we need your help!

WeTHRIVE! is working throughout Hamilton County to create Youth Advocacy Teams (YATs). YATs train 6th-8th graders to advocate for change related to physical activity, nutrition and tobacco in their school or community.

Each YAT needs an adult volunteer advisor…that’s where you come in!

As a YAT advisor, you’ll work with a team of at least five students. Activities may include creating a team name and mascot, promoting healthy food and beverages sold in the school cafeteria, doing activities to support tobacco-free schools, or encouraging students to participate in physical activity, such as a flash mob dance.

Want to learn more? Join us for a free information/advisor training session on Wednesday, September 21, from 5:00pm until 6:30pm at the Woodlawn Community Center. To register or get more information, contact Kiana Trabue at 513-946-7947 or Kiana.Trabue@hamilton-co.org. You can also visit our event page on Facebook.
